What is the best sunflower seeds for the birds? black oil or gray & white stripe?

Black-oil sunflower has a higher percentage of meat and is a very nutritious source of high quality protein. The softer outer shell makes it easy for smaller birds like chickadees, nuthatches, titmice, goldfinches, pine siskins and finches. The seed also boasts a high concentration of oil which is especially important in the Winter. What is the best sunflower seeds for the birds? black oil or gray %26amp; white stripe?
what birds? big white ones are better for pet birds. Like some posters said, the black ones have a lot of fat in them. fat is good for wild birds becuase they need more calories, kinda like fat would be good to feed to starving ppl (ppl long ago though fat was the best part of meat! they didn't have enough food and went hungry for days often. But fat is no good for us fat americans that can't go without food for a single day, we need lean meat.) So save the little black seeds for the birds outside in the winter, and feed the big white seeds to your pet parrot as a treat! What is the best sunflower seeds for the birds? black oil or gray %26amp; white stripe?
I use black oil on everyday basis, but striped for special occasions and for treats and such
All sunflower seeds are good for birds, but use the black sunflower for smaller birds
