I would personally think that edible sunflower refined oil would be too thick for the face and body causing the pores to clog and resulting in severe keratosis, folliculitis and acne.
If cost is a factor for you, then I would buy a bottle of Vitamin E GEL CAPSULES and pierce with a pin prick or needle prick and squeeze out the contents to apply to your face. Vitamin E will assist in healing, repairing and moisturising. For your body, a simple cheap Cocoa Butter lotion would be best.
Why that peculiar thinking, especially while there are coconut and other oil specially applicable to face and skin.

Sunflower oil for your teeth...what do you think?
Back in December, I came across the concept of ';Oil Pulling';, or oil swishing. Basically you swish or 'pull' oil through and in and around your mouth, and then spit it out.
I began swishing sunflower oil in my mouth for 10-15 minutes in the mornings...
I noticed a change within 3 days, but I was skeptical and wanted to be absolutely certain.
I started doing this December 15th. I can honestly say that the plaque and tartar are gone and my teeth are whiter.
They're also much thicker and feel more solid in my mouth. Plus my gums are improving quite a bit.
Six months ago, I was looking at having all my teeth pulled and getting dentures. I don't have to do that anymore. :)

If you've got an old-technology engine, like a mid-80s or early 90s car - especially one with indirect injection - you probably won't have much of a problem.
If its a newer engine, particularly one with common-rail injection, or VW's ';pumpe-d眉se'; electronic unit injectors, then the ';stickiness'; (I can't think of a better word) of the sunflower oil could clog up the smaller apertures in the injectors. Up to 5% in normal diesel fuel would probably be acceptable, but not much more (and you would have to ensure that the fuel you're adding it too doesn't already include any bio-diesel components - for example diesel fuel in France is normally 5% bio-diesel).
Also if you're using it on the public roads you'll have to inform the Customs and Revenue that you are using the sunflower oil as a fuel, and pay the road fuel duty on it.
Major damage likely. Probably you will purge for days on end.

I have a bottle of flax %26amp; sunflower oil that someone gave me recently. I'm wondering what it can be used for? Is it just a finishing oil, or can it be used in place of any oils? you can't really ';seal'; your ends. the best thing to do it get a trim. if you're afraid to go short then get a trim gradually inch by inch so that you can get use to the length. the more you try to ';repair'; split ends without just trimming them off instead, the worse it can get. split ends will seperate more and more then longer you wait, and then it might be too late and you'll have no choice but to cut a dramatic amount offIs sunflower oil a good oil to seal my ends with?

My uncle had a count of 400 %26amp; the dr. said he didn't know what kept him alive. He was put on a really strict diet %26amp; was miserable. When I heard about the good versus bad I told him to go elsewhere %26amp; have both checked. It turned out his good was 175 so the bad wasn't really that bad. He was told just to watch his pork intake %26amp; use kosher salt %26amp; olive oil when cooking. A big difference from the diet he was on. That was 15 yrs. ago when he was 65 with a family history of heart problems in the men. Yet he's still alive %26amp; kicking w/o any kind of heart problems.
So if I was you I'd find out the bad versus good number. But olive oil is definitely the best %26amp; the only fat that increases the good.
