You need to arrange some heating on the fuel system and upgrade the fuel filter. Also you need to make sure all the seals and similar parts are compatible with vegetable oil, as it can soften parts designed for mineral oil. Any engine with electronics will need the ECU re-mapping. Common rail injection systems probably can't be converted as the veg oil when heated for a long time tends to go sticky and the high pressure system clogs up.

It's only really suitable for old style diesel motors
Everyone I have spoken to in the trade tell me that it will wreck the engine unless it is processed. However, I have other reports that it is fine but you need to change the filter more often. Is this the same propaganda that we were given by the government that petrol was super prescious. However, when I went to school I was taught that it was a byproduct of the petro-chemical industry and would have been thrown away if there wasn't an engine to burn it!

Forgot to mention that rapeseed oil has gone from 89p litre last season to 拢1.39 litre - funny that!
You don't convert the engine, you convert the fuel system. Basically just add heat to the oil and make sure it is filtered real good.

A simple google search should turn up several sites, like greasel.com where you can get more info.
sunflower oil per litre is dearer then diesel unless ye planning to use the manky stuff from the chippy that's full of batter and old chips!!!
dont bother it blocks everything up no matter wat any1 says, as you say its a diesel engine..
