Can you deep fry chips (as we call them in the uk) in sunflower oil in a deep fryer ?

Sorry for my ignorance, and i know chips aren't very healthy, but recentlyour chips fried in vegetable oil have tasted crap (and we have changed the oil !) and i know sunflower oil is supposed to be healthier anywayCan you deep fry chips (as we call them in the uk) in sunflower oil in a deep fryer ?
Peanut oil is the very best. It is stable, does not flavor the food with other oil tastes like sunflower, canola, olive, etc. and has a hi smoking temperature (can go to 350 farenheit of more without smoking). Peanut is the oil of choice of most restaurants that aren't afraid to give the customer something that tastes good and is healthy. Canola is crap. Don't ever use it, it is not good for you and a discriminating taster will say it is like eating motor oil. Period. It's cheap and that is why restaurants and food suppliers are sneaking it into everything. It is gross. Can you deep fry chips (as we call them in the uk) in sunflower oil in a deep fryer ?
I've tried frying them in sunflower oil many times, and it's a pretty good option... not only is it low in fat but also low in cholestrol so I think it is the best option for your family.
Try using canola oil. They are the healthiest, after olive oil.
Yes,sunflower oil is a very good option ,healthy %26amp; does not impart any taste or odour to cooked food.I have fried all sorts of food in sunflower oil.including chips which turn out great .
