Yes, and possibly more. The real upside to using the hearts, is there is no waste. You won't have the shells all over the place.
I couldn't find any last winter, so I had to use the black oil sunflower. I have the shells all over the place. Plus the inevitable sunflowers growing.Will I attract the same variety of wildbirds with sunflower hearts (no shell) as I do with black oil sunflower
