What is the difference between tuna fish in sunflower oil and tuna fish in spring water?

Price, fat, aroma, and flavor. Water-packed tuna tends to taste ';fresher'; and does not have the slimy texture that some dislike about oil. The water-packed tuna will not have as strong of an odor when you open the can, as oil carries scent (think about perfume oils). Oil tends to give a heavier flavor to the tuna, while water lends itself to a light, straight tuna flavor (which I prefer personally). There can also be a cost difference, but I find the water-packed to be a much more enjoyable way to go, from the opening of the can to the consumption point. What is the difference between tuna fish in sunflower oil and tuna fish in spring water?
the first one is preserved in oil, and the second one is preserved in water.

So when you open the can, one is oily, the other is watery...What is the difference between tuna fish in sunflower oil and tuna fish in spring water?
Less fat.

Oil is fat, even good fat.

Water is not fattening.
Tuna packed in water is much better for you.

No calories from the oil.
The oil has more calories in it. I prefer it in water. I've heard that tuna in oil tastes better.
You're kidding right? One is in oil, the other is in water. If you want healthier choices -go with the water based.
Mainly calories. Tuna packed in water has fewer.
Aaaaaaagh! It depends whether you wanna be brainy or skinny. I like tuna in oil. Itr has essential vitamins in it, this really helps your brain! Trust me if your gonna take exams soon then you can go on a course of tuna mayo sarnies with the oil. Really helps babes!!!!
I agree with everyone else......Tuna in water has a lighter flavor, it isn't weighed down with the taste of oil. It's healthier and if you cook with it, gives a fresher taste
The Pricing $$$
slimy oil
tuna fish in water, there is only calories in the tuna

tuna fish in oil,has heaps more calories, but makes the tuna more moist
Tuna fish in sunflower oil has sunflower in it; whereas, tuna fish in spring water, has spring water in it. Go with the spring water if you are cutting calories. Go with the sunflower oil if you want to bake something using tuna fish.
